Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BOA Games OÜ processes personal information when you use our apps and games, our website, our support channels, and related services (together, the “Service”).

In short: we process the information needed to run our apps and games, keep accounts secure, handle purchases, and fix problems. We do not sell personal information.

1. Who We Are

BOA Games OÜ is the provider of the Service and the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We are a company registered in Estonia under registry code 17185506, with registered office at Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@boagamesdeveloppers.com.

2. Who This Policy Covers

This policy covers people who download, install, or play our apps and games, people who create an account with us, visitors to our website, and people who contact our support team.

3. Information We Process

Account information

Where an app or game offers an account, we may process a display name or nickname, an email address, authentication and account identifiers, sign-in method, account preferences and settings, and the information needed to verify or recover an account. Some of our apps and games can be used without creating an account at all.

Gameplay and in-app activity

We may process progress, levels, scores, achievements, in-game currency and items, settings, saved states, leaderboard entries, and similar information generated as you use an app or game. Where a title offers online or multiplayer features, we may process the information needed to match, rank, or connect players.

Device and technical information

We may process device and app identifiers, device model, operating-system and app version, language and time zone, IP address, connectivity, push-notification tokens, permission status, and diagnostic or security events. This information is used to deliver the Service, keep it secure, and understand the environment an app is running in.

Analytics and diagnostics

Release versions of our apps and games process product-interaction and diagnostic information, including sessions, screens and features used, progression events, purchase interactions, error and crash details, and pseudonymous device, install, or account identifiers. We use analytics and crash-reporting providers to help us measure reliability, understand how features are used, and investigate faults.

Purchases

For paid apps, in-app purchases, and subscriptions, we receive purchase and entitlement information from the relevant app store, such as product, transaction, status, and expiry details. We do not receive full payment-card details; payment is handled by the app store or payment provider under its own terms.

Support

If you contact us, we process your contact details, your message, any attachments, and the information needed to investigate and respond.

Website information

When you visit our website, our hosting systems may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and security logs. We use this information to deliver, protect, and maintain the website.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide our apps and games and their features;
  • create accounts, authenticate users, and save progress;
  • operate online, multiplayer, or leaderboard features where offered;
  • process purchases and confirm access to paid content;
  • send service, security, and purchase notifications;
  • provide support and respond to privacy or account requests;
  • analyse feature use, diagnose faults, and improve the reliability, balance, and usability of our titles;
  • prevent cheating, fraud, abuse, and other misuse of the Service;
  • protect our users, the Service, and our legal rights;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or similar law applies, we rely on the following legal bases as appropriate:

  • Contract: processing needed to provide the Service you have asked for and to administer any account you create.
  • Consent: processing based on a valid choice, including where consent is required for a device capability or a particular use. A device permission can be changed in device settings, although disabling it may stop the related feature from working.
  • Legitimate interests: securing, supporting, maintaining, and improving the Service, preventing cheating and misuse, and defending legal claims, after balancing those interests against your rights.
  • Legal obligation: processing needed to comply with law, lawful requests, accounting duties, and consumer-protection obligations.

6. Children

Our apps and games are general-audience products and are not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the age at which consent is required in their country without the consent of a holder of parental responsibility.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without that consent, contact us and we will review the account and delete the information where appropriate. Age ratings shown on an app store describe the content of a title and are set under that store’s rating system.

7. When We Share Information

We may share information only as needed with:

  • Service providers. Hosting, database, storage, push-notification, analytics, crash-reporting, customer-support, security, and technical providers process information for us under appropriate terms.
  • Platform and app-store providers. Apple, Google, or another platform provider may process device, notification, purchase, and diagnostic information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Other players. Where a title offers multiplayer, leaderboard, or other social features, the information you choose to make visible — such as a display name, score, or ranking — is shown to other players using that feature.
  • Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary for legal advice, a legal claim, a lawful government request, or to protect a person from harm.
  • Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganisation, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

8. International Transfers

Some providers may process information outside Estonia or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism and apply supplementary protections appropriate to the information and risk.

9. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the type of information, whether an account is active, security needs, backup cycles, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Limited records may be retained to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, or security requirements.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, secure transport, monitoring, and measures intended to limit access to people and providers who need it. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong account credential and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of personal information, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To make a request, email support@boagamesdeveloppers.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. You can also request account deletion through our account-deletion page. We may retain information where an exception under applicable law applies, and we will explain that decision when required.

You may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), another data protection authority where you live or work, or the authority where you believe an infringement occurred. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the concern.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service, law, or our practices change. We will publish the updated policy here, revise the effective date, and provide additional notice through the Service when a change is material and the law requires it.
